Our Practice

We are continually inspired by Maine’s landscape and all of the healing qualities the natural world provides. The peregrine falcon was chosen as a symbol for our practice for its precision, strength, and beauty.

At Peregrine Acupuncture, we blend ancient medicine with modern expertise to guide you on a transformative journey toward optimal health and healing.

Often patients find us when they have been diagnosed with difficult-to-treat conditions. Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, stress reduction, fertility challenges, or simply aiming to enhance your overall health, Peregrine Acupuncture is your partner in holistic healing.

Our staff, led by experienced acupuncturist, Dr. Chris Haskell, create personalized pathways to wellness through consultation, goal setting, and ongoing care. Treatment rooms are safe, cozy, and serene, in a nurturing clinic environment. Located in the Wilbur’s Chocolates cottage, across from Gritty’s in Freeport, ME, your path to wellness begins here.

Dr. Chris Haskell, DAc, LAc

Dr. Chris Haskell has been practicing Chinese medicine for over twenty years. Chris earned a Doctorate of Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Health and Science and a Master’s Degree from NIAOM in Seattle in 2003. Chris owned an acupuncture clinic in Atlanta for five years before moving to Maine in 2008.

Peregrine Acupuncture specializes in neuropathy, chronic pain management, fertility, women’s health, LGBTQ health, digestive issues, anxiety, and depression. Chris also believes strongly in making acupuncture as accessible as possible through volunteer work and organizations like Acupuncture Without Borders.

Between clinic hours, you can find Chris reading, traveling, hiking with friends, and a fluffy canine sidekick, Ebenezer. Chris lives in Portland with a partner, their two children, and two dogs.

Breanne, Practice Coordinator

Breanne has worked at our front desk for over a year and is always happy to help our patients with all their billing and scheduling needs! When not working at Peregrine Acupuncture, Breanne is a student therapist pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Syracuse University. Outside of work and school, they like to garden, go on nature walks, read, write, and hang out with their two kitties—Peanut and Basil!
